Burpees for Oldies????

https://youtu.be/JZQA08SlJnM

Can you do this?  Ha.  I can't, but I'm trying.  Supposed to be wonderful exercise.
What does "burpee" mean?  Try it once.  If you're still alive to burp, you're on your
way!!

    1. Me, neither. I had polio at age 7, slowed me down a bit. It looks EZ when she does it, right? I still like to try. And it's something I can do in my living room. Nobody's there to laugh.

    2. We had compulsory vaccination against polio in the UK, even back then.

  3. So far I have lost 23 pounds in retirement (not sitting at a stoopid desk all day, eating peanut M&Ms). Even though compared to you, I am sedentary--no garden or big yard to tend--I was lots more sedentary back in those days. I still need to lose 12 pounds to get down to where all my numbers will make my doctors happy. one step (burpee) at a time....

    2. you are so funny. i looked into this, and i didn't see that the UK had any nationwide polio vaccination until maybe sometime in the early 1960s. I had polio long before that--1942-43. summer after the second grade. and
how would the UK have helped me??

    3. I was merely sending a message to the anti-Vaxxers you have in the USA. I was jabbed around 1950. The post-war gov in the UK also introduced free school-milk and various other health benefits. I wasn't aiming specifically at you, we all inherit the health systems of our eras and governments.
